Tenants sought for Brixton Rec workspace: space available from March 2023
Lambeth Council is seeking tenant(s) for a new space being created within the Brixton Recreation Centre as part of the ‘Revitalising Brixton’s Rec Quarter’ project.
The council is committed to delivering affordable workspace in this location, but prospective tenants will need to bring funding to fit out the space. Until now, the space has been used for storage. With funding secured from the council, the Mayor of London, and STRIDE, it’s now set for transformation.
The council has secured planning permission and listed building consent for proposals to install new windows along the Beehive Place façade bringing natural light in the space. The council will also deliver structural changes to the space alongside communal toilets and kitchen space.
We’re looking for a tenant(s) that can make a positive contribution to the Brixton Creative Enterprise, the council’s Economic Resilience Strategy, and the Mayor’s ‘Good Growth’ objectives. The council and the GLA will work with prospective tenants to agree on outputs to be monitored over the term of the lease.
