Lambeth X Sustainable Ventures – The Innovation Challenge
The Innovation Challenge 2024, a groundbreaking initiative funded by Lambeth Council’s Economic Resilience Fund and organized in collaboration with Sustainable Ventures, has concluded with resounding success.
This innovative program brought together established businesses in Lambeth with start-ups and scale-ups from the Sustainable Ventures ecosystem, fostering partnerships that promise to drive significant advancements in sustainability.
This year, we established several impactful collaborations, including:
- The British Film Institute is partnering with Incube for HVAC management,
- Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation teaming up with Window Insulation Ltd. for heat management,
- Kia Oval/Surrey County Cricket is joining forces with Voltsmart for energy management.
- Stanhope worked with Vuala to improve their waste management.
Other notable partnerships include Wates Group x Kuppa, Workspace Group x Cosysense, and Etc Venues x Limetrack.
These alliances have not only provided start-ups with invaluable exposure to corporate supply chains and equipped established businesses with pioneering technologies to tackle their sustainability challenges.
The grand finale event, held on July 11, 2024, at Sustainable Ventures, County Hall, was a remarkable celebration of these achievements. Attendees witnessed inspiring showcases of the partnerships’ progress and engaged in dynamic networking opportunities.
The event facilitated knowledge sharing and sparked dialogues on securing further investment in Lambeth’s green economy, paving the way for increased employment and business opportunities for local residents.
The Innovation Challenge 2024 has set a new benchmark for collaborative innovation and sustainability in Lambeth.
