Vauxhall One BID ballot results
Lambeth’s seven Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are key partners in advancing the borough’s growth and strategic objectives. They play an important role in enhancing local high streets and town centres, helping to strengthen and revitalise the borough’s town centres and high streets.
By working closely with local businesses and investing in placemaking, public realm enhancements and local economic development, Lambeth’s BIDs contribute to creating cleaner, safer and more welcoming town centres. Their partnership-led approach ensures that improvements reflect the priorities and needs of the business community, making them an integral part of Lambeth’s long-term economic vision.
Vauxhall One BID has successfully secured a fourth term following a renewal ballot that received strong support from local businesses. The positive outcome reflects confidence in the BID’s work and its ongoing commitment to delivering projects, initiatives and services that have a meaningful impact on Vauxhall and the people who work, live, visit and invest in the area.
Announced on Friday 6 November, the ballot results confirm the mandate for Vauxhall One BID to continue its work over the next five years. With an approval rate of 88% from local businesses, the result demonstrates the strong commitment of the local business community to the BID’s mission and its commitment to supporting Vauxhall’s development.
Bernard Collier, CEO at Vauxhall One BID, said:
Thank you to every business that took the time to vote. This result is a clear mandate to keep doing the practical things that make a difference every day, and to be more ambitious about what comes next.
Over the next five years, our focus is on making Vauxhall feel safe and welcoming around the clock, filling our streets and spaces with life, and making sure businesses are heard as the area continues to change. Some of the improvements our members want most, like better streets around the gyratory, need long-term partnership. We are ready to lead that work on their behalf.
