All Lambeth BIDs join Climate Partnership to take climate action
We are thrilled to announce that all seven of Lambeth Council’s Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) have officially joined the Lambeth Climate Partnership, marking a significant milestone in the borough’s efforts to build a greener, more sustainable future.
The Lambeth Climate Partnership coordinates climate action across the borough by bringing together local government, businesses, community organisations, and residents. It aims to accelerate progress towards net-zero emissions, increase climate resilience, and ensure a transition that benefits all communities.
The membership of all seven BIDs – Brixton BID, South Bank, Vauxhall One, This is Clapham, Station to Station, InStreatham, and WeAreWaterloo – demonstrates a commitment from the borough’s key commercial hubs to Lambeth’s climate ambitions. Each BID is already running sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction schemes, green logistics, energy efficiency projects, and programmes to promote active travel among local businesses and residents.
This borough-wide collaboration will strengthen the sharing of ideas and resources between BIDs, amplify their impact, and ensure local business voices are central to shaping a cleaner, fairer Lambeth.
The Lambeth Climate Partnership will now work with the BIDs to co-design next steps for borough-wide emissions reductions, in line with Lambeth’s Climate Action Plan, and continue to grow our Green Economy.
