Free Creative Bootcamps and Paid Internship Opportunities for Young Lambeth Residents
Young people aged 16-24 in Lambeth can now apply for two free creative bootcamps designed to help develop skills, build confidence and access paid internship opportunities in the creative sector. The programmes form part of Next Us and are aimed at young people who are not currently in employment, education or training.
Participants will receive industry-led training, support from Creative Link Workers, networking opportunities and guaranteed interviews for six-month internships paid at the London Living Wage
Creative Design Bootcamp with TRASH GXNG
Dates: 19 October to 13 November 2026
This free creative design bootcamp gives young people the chance to co-design a fictional London music festival from concept to production. Participants will gain practical experience and develop skills in:
- Branding
- Digital design
- Merchandise design
- Printing
- Creative project management
By the end of the Trash Gxng programme, participants will have built a creative portfolio, made industry connections and received support to progress into work opportunities. Participants will also receive £100 on completion of the programme.
Lambeth on Air Podcast Bootcamp with Orange Bow CIC
Dates: 16 to 27 November 2026
Want to create a podcast about your Lambeth?
The Lambeth on Air Creative Bootcamp offers young people the opportunity to work as part of a real production team, helping to record, market and publish a three-episode podcast series. No previous experience is required.
Participants will receive:
- £50 per week bursary
- Free travel and meals
- Training from working creative professionals
- One-to-one wellbeing and career support
- Workplace visits and trips
- A guaranteed interview at the end of the programme
- The opportunity to apply for a paid six-month internship beginning in January 2027
The bootcamp runs from 10am to 4pm across two weeks at Oasis St Martin’s Village in Tulse Hill and Orange Bow‘s studio on Norwood Road.
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a Lambeth resident
- Be aged 16-24
- Not currently be in employment, education or training (NEET)
Priority is given to young people who fall into one or more of the following groups:
- Homeless or at risk of homelessness
- Care experienced
- Ex-offenders
- Carers or former carers
- Refugees
- People affected by substance misuse
- Young people with SEND
- Those with childcare responsibilities
