4 month free trail of e-cargo bike in Lambeth
Could an e-cargo bike help your business make local deliveries, transport goods or get around Lambeth more easily?
Businesses based in Lambeth’s Healthy Neighbourhoods can trial a bike free for four months, giving you the chance to see how one could work for your day-to-day business needs before committing to buying
Whether you’re a retailer, café, market trader, florist, creative business or service provider, an e-cargo bike could help you reduce transport costs, improve efficiency for short journeys and support your sustainability goals.
What’s included?
There are a range of bikes available through Try Before You Bike (TBYB), including front- and rear-loaded models. The TBYB team can help you choose the bike best suited to your business and how you plan to use it.
As part of the trial, you’ll receive:
- Four months’ bike rental, fully funded by Lambeth Council
- A choice of different bike types
- Two training sessions
- Support from the Try Before You Bike and Lambeth Council teams throughout the trial
What happens after the four months?
At the end of the free trial, you’ll have a few options depending on what works best for your business.
If you decide to buy the bike, the value of the four months’ rental fees already covered by Lambeth Council will be deducted from the cost of the bike.
Alternatively, you can continue renting the bike by taking over the monthly payments yourself, or simply end the trial without purchasing.
It’s a flexible way to test whether a bike is right for your business without having to make the initial investment.
Who can apply?
The opportunity is open to businesses located within Healthy Neighbourhood areas.
