Inclusive Talent

Lambeth’s Inclusive Talent Strategy is at the heart of our mission to create skills and employment opportunities for all residents, regardless of background, qualification level or career experience.

We engage thousands of people each year through employment, skills and advice services, focusing on those facing the greatest challenges, including residents with disabilities, health conditions, or from Black, Asian and multi-ethnic communities. Our Adult and Community Learning service provides foundational skills such as English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), literacy, numeracy and pre-employment support, while financial resilience support, including debt, welfare and legal advice, ensures residents are equipped to access and sustain employment.

The strategy works in partnership with local businesses, growth sector employers, anchor institutions and voluntary sector organisations through our Skills and Employment Board. By aligning skills provision with industry needs, promoting good work, and encouraging payment of the London Living Wage, Lambeth ensures residents can benefit from growth while supporting employers to access the talent pipeline required for a thriving, inclusive local economy.
