198 CAL is a centre for visual arts, education, and creative enterprise in Brixton. Its mission is to nurture and support the careers of emerging, underrepresented artists and creatives and to advance public interest in the visual arts.

198 CAL’s work is framed by local communities and the history of the Brixton uprisings, which prompted the organisation’s establishment over 30 years ago. In 2017, Arts Council England granted 198 CAL National Portfolio Status.
