We Are Waterloo and Station to Station BID Ballot results
In Lambeth our seven Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are a major partner in delivering our 10 year Growth Plan, playing a vital role in strengthening and revitalising the borough’s town centres and high streets. Through direct engagement with local businesses and continued investment in placemaking, public realm improvements, and their local economies, Lambeth’s BIDs help create cleaner, safer, and more dynamic town centres. Their collaborative approach ensures that growth is not only strategic but rooted in the needs of the business community, making BIDs essential partners in Lambeth’s long term economic vision.
Both WeAreWaterloo BID and Station to Station BID (covering Tulse Hill and West Norwood) have recently secured an additional term, following successful renewal ballots and strong yes votes from local businesses.
WeAreWaterloo BID, operating in Waterloo since 2006, has secured a fifth term. The overwhelming support underscores their dedication to delivering initiatives and services that make a tangible difference to the place, and the people who work, live, visit and invest in Waterloo.

The ballot results, announced on Friday 20th February, provide a mandate for the continuity of services, projects and support provided by We Are Waterloo BID. The approval rate from businesses stands at an impressive 92.92%, showcasing the strong commitment of the local business community to the BIDs mission.
Station to Station BID has secured a third term. The ballot results, which were announced on Friday 27th February demonstrate strong support from local businesses with a 85.59% approval rate. The result reinforces the BIDs pivotal role in enhancing the local area for the business community over the next five years. Station to Station’s renewal will unlock investment into the neighbourhood over the next five years, ensuring businesses and the local economy can continue to grow and thrive.

- Kate Poulter, Chief Executive of WeAreWaterloo BID said:
“Everything we do at WeAreWaterloo is rooted in partnership, so we’re delighted that the ballot results present such strong endorsement from the business community. Throughout this process we’ve gathered invaluable intel from Waterloo’s businesses which has not only helped shape the 2026-31 proposal, but will continue to inform development of our plans during the next term. We’re excited to build upon the energy and relationships nurtured during the campaign, and deliver an impressive programme for the next five years.” - Charlotte Ashworth, Station to Station BID Manager said:
"We are delighted to announce that Station to Station has been successfully renewed for a third term, from 2026 to 2031. Station to Station is proud to continue representing the Tulse Hill, West Norwood & Parkhall business community for the next five years. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who voted so positively for the BID and for those whose hard work helped us get here. We are especially pleased to have secured a 93% ‘per rateable value’ yes vote and increased our turnout, a powerful demonstration of the confidence and faith that local businesses place in our work. The conversations we have had over the past few months will play an instrumental role in shaping our offer for the next term. We remain committed to championing the area and its businesses, delivering on the priorities you have shared with us and continuing to make a meaningful impact locally."
