We are Waterloo Business Improvement District has been successfully voted in for another 5 year term.
The results of the Business Improvement District’s renewal ballot were announced on Friday 19th February, with 92% of votes in favour of another term for We are Waterloo.
We are Waterloo BID’s proposal was based on their initiatives to enhance the trading environment, celebrate and promote the area, connect and represent their members, and develop Lower Marsh Market. The result is a testament to the BID’s work to date and demonstrates the ongoing commitment of its members.
Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are a vital part of Lambeth’s business support ecosystem, with seven established across the borough. Details of the BIDs are available on Lambeth.gov.uk.
BIDs are not-for-profit business-led organisations funded via a levy on eligible businesses within the BID. This levy is then reinvested to provide additional or improved services. Lambeth’s BIDs have played a vital part in the council’s emergency response to the Coronavirus pandemic, supporting the council to reach local businesses.
