New Funding Opportunity: Health & Life Science Projects in Lambeth

Lambeth Council is excited to announce the Health & Life Science Community Innovation Fund, powered by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

We’re offering grants of up to £40,000 for projects that help Lambeth’s communities learn about, enter, and thrive in the health and life sciences sector.

Aligned with Lambeth’s 2030 goals of fostering sustainable growth and inclusive opportunities, this fund supports initiatives that drive employment, skills development, and community engagement. We are particularly interested in projects that create pathways to various roles within the sector, including health tech and digital opportunities. Additionally, we welcome programs that help residents understand the benefits and potential careers in health and life sciences.

The health and life sciences sector offers many job opportunities for people in Lambeth. Jobs like Clinical Research Coordinator, Biomedical Scientist, Health Informatics Specialist, Medical Laboratory Technician, and Pharmacy Technician are available. These roles help the community and provide stable, rewarding careers.

Lambeth has several important health and science organizations where residents can find work. These include Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Lambeth Community Care Centre. These organizations offer services ranging from patient care to advanced medical research.

Residents can also get education and training in health and life sciences from local institutions. Lambeth College offers courses in health and social care, and King’s College London and St George’s, University of London, provide advanced degrees and research opportunities. These programs help residents gain the skills needed for careers in health and life sciences, supporting Lambeth’s goal of sustainable growth and inclusive opportunities.

This initiative underscores our commitment to building a prosperous and equitable future for all Lambeth residents. By investing in these projects, we aim to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in and benefit from the dynamic and rapidly growing health and life sciences field.
